RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT CLOSING DATE - 10th March 2023

We are recruiting a Sales Assistant, to help drive the business forward, for a highly respected and well-established Arboriculture, Forestry and Rope Access equipment merchants. We are looking for the right candidate to take control of the shop floor and work with a small team, sometimes you would be working by yourself on the shop floor with help at hand when needed. The days are always busy whether this is with customers, taking in stock, picking orders or packing. It is a varied, customer-facing role within a small shop on an Industrial estate.

You will be dealing with tree surgeons, gardeners, contractors and the general public that come into the branch, and customers that have an account, over the phone. It is a different type of retail to just serving customers, you will be expected to build relationships with regular shop customers in the store so as to be as helpful and friendly as possible whilst serving. We sell to this Industry Sector: Tree Surgeons, Gardeners, Landscapers, Foresters, and Rope Access sectors.

What you’ll do:

Merchandising front of house/shop floor
Assisting customers face-to-face within the branch
Assisting customers over the telephone
Ongoing product training
Taking in stock and processing it
Updating stock levels in the shop and online
Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy
Pricing merchandise up
Processing, picking and packing website and telephone orders
Any other customer-facing duties required as a Sales Assistant

You’ll definitely:

Have retail experience 1 years (preferred)
Have a driving License (preferred)

Monday to Friday ( We are closed at weekends)
8 hour shift (9 a.m to 5 p.m)

Experience:

Retail work: 1 years (preferred)
