The ISC Reflex Mechanical Hitch is a mid-line attachable climbing device, meaning you never have to pull an entire rope length through the device — at the start of, or during, your climb.
Designed for precise friction control with a gradual release, the Reflex combines the familiarity of a hitch cord-controlled descent with the versatility of a mechanical device. The safety-lock swing-frame and L-shaped links allow the rope to be helically wound into the device rather than threaded through, with a latched top link keeping the rope securely captivated during use.
Mid-line attachment also opens up additional limb-passing options and changeovers in the canopy. Whether used in MRT or SRT systems, the links provide consistent friction without additional hardware — no Wrench & Tether required for SRT use.
The 200kg rescue load rating means climbers can perform rescues without building in extra friction. An APEX & FLEX Tether can be added for additional friction and greater ease of control.
Removable & Replaceable Swivel
The swivel eye can be removed via a deliberate sequence of actions, enabling quick disconnection without disassembling your climbing system — ideal for breaks or switching gear. The eye accommodates two karabiners, or up to two bridge ropes can be threaded directly through for a compact setup.
